Center for Digital Health Innovation (CDHI) advances health by leveraging translational digital innovation, point of care context, and enriched patient data with commercial scale to co-develop solutions that transform the way we deliver care at UCSF and around the world. We work with industry partners in the areas of:

• Improving the Digital Patient Experience by enabling provider and patient applications and data to be rapidly disseminated through a healthcare interoperability platform
• Leveraging enriched, multi-modal data to uncover hidden insights addressing the right treatment for the right patient at the right time
• Expanding the reach of UCSF services through Home Telehealth & Second Opinion programs
• Developing and validating digital therapeutics and clinical decision support algorithms
• Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to automate routine work and promote workflow efficiency

UCSF hosts many groups engaged in the development and commercialization of medical devices with an excellent track record of IP generation and product development. • UC Center for Accelerated Innovation (UCCAI) - A multi-campus funding mechanism for technology development in disease areas of interest to NHLBI and NIDA. 
• Surgical Innovations - An initiative of the Department of Surgery in partnership with the Department of Bioengineering & Therapeutic Sciences to identify, mentor, and facilitate the translation of novel medical technologies into transformative new devices and treatments to improve human health.
• Catalyst Devices track - An intramural funding mechanism focused on development of therapeutics, diagnostics, devices and digital health products.
